Temptation is very different than life’s trials, trials also test us but for a very different purpose. Trials seek to reveal our moral qualities or character; temptation however seeks to corrupt our character and break our moral compass. Trials reveal the measure of a person, while temptations seek to corrupt and destroy the good within us. One aims to make us better causing us to be more conscious of our true moral self; but the other seeks to awaken and then blind us to our own evil within. God tries; Satan tempts.
